Address - 119 Main St, Yaxley, Peterborough PE7 3LP
Yaxley is situated 4 miles south of Peterborough just off the A15 road, close to the A1 junction 16. In the Domesday Book in 1086 there was one Manor and 39 houses. It is still classed as a Village even though the population is now over 9,500.
The Methodist Chapel stands on Main Street. The only other place of worship remaining in the village is the Parish Church of St. Peter which dates to the early 14th Century.
The Broadway is the main road into Yaxley with houses and small estates along the way to the next village. There is a British Legion, a small shopping centre and a few other shops and food outlets. There is one Primary school, two Junior Schools and two nurseries a library and a Doctors surgery.
Main Street is the older part of the village with a Fire station, two public houses and a few small shops, a nursery and primary school. Beyond Main Street is the start of the Fens with Holme Fen nature reserve leading on to the Great Fen.
The 165 year old Chapel has a small congregation which is growing, with ages ranging from 1 year to 89 years and we work with and support the local community. It is all inclusive and is registered for same sex marriages.
The inside of the building is cozy and bright and welcoming. Busy Bees which supports Mums and Dads and their babies and young children is held one morning a week.

Coffee mornings with homemade cakes are very popular and the Yaxley Singers practice once a week and hold fundraising concerts in the Chapel.
We supply food to the local foodbank and comforts to the Garden House which supports the homeless in Peterborough
